1 Day – Textile edge finishing, whipping and  binding machine use and techniques.

Day 1 – 9.00am – 5.00pm
  • Identify different types of textile product, what methods of edging would suit the product.
  • Yarn identification, natural and synthetic yarns.
  • Yarn selection, bcf, single ply and multiple ply yarns to suit textile products.
  • Antifray products, edge sealer & backing stabilisation.
  • Whipping machine overview, how the machine works
  • bonded nylon and extruded nylon threads
  • loading thread spools, threading the machine
  • Loading yarn, how to prevent snags for smooth feed
  • Setting the three tensions & how to adjust tension posts.
